There are households that, in the name of honesty, penalizes keeping of secrets and telling of lies.
No doors should be locked, or remain closed to someone knocking to be let in.
However, when honesty is not a naturally occurring result of experiencing safety, trust, and acceptance of thoughts and feelings; when it is instead a demand, manifesting someone's fear, distrust, and need to know what others think and feel; then lying and secrets can become the only way to preserve privacy.
Truth demands authenticity or it isn't Truth.
The family, group, or society that treat some thoughts and feelings as less wanted and desirable, does not want Truth.
Therefore, it will not get it either.
